Buckle up for this one. Can you see the hidden branding?

Buckle up, brand nerds.
Luxury fashion house Loewe has quietly reminded the design world that not every logo needs to scream for attention, as marketers stumble upon its Type Fussbett sandal with a piece of branding so subtle many shoppers and marketers alike, are only spotting it after their second or third, or even tenth look after being old.
At first glance, the sandal resembles a slightly more luxurious Birkenstock. A chunky cork footbed. Leather strap overload and plenty of buckles. Looking closer, however, and those buckles reveal something rather clever.
Together, they spell LOEWE.
It's the sort of hidden design detail that gives branding people a brandgasm while everyone else simply thinks, "Nice sandals."
In an era where many luxury brands are competing to make their logos modern, bolder and impossible to miss, Loewe has taken a different approach, weaving its identity directly into the product itself rather than stamping it across the top.
The result is what marketers would call a distinctive brand asset worthy of a ten page article or 120-minute podcast episode. As it’s something recognisable yet rewarding to the people who take a second look. Like the hidden bear in the Toblerone logo, or the right facing arrow in the negative space between the E and the x of the FedEx logo.
Perhaps that's the real luxury. Not shouting your name but knowing people will eventually notice it anyway with a somewhat showy but also quiet nod to the brand name. Though maybe it isn’t as quiet as you would think when a pair will set you back a cool $1250 USD.
